Bliss & Glennon Offers Two Contractor Products in California

Bliss and Glennon Inc., a managing general agent and surplus lines broker, has two new products offering coverage for custom homebuilders and spec homebuilders with remodeling, and, coverage for residential repair and service contractors in California.

Coverage for custom homebuilders and spec homebuilders with remodeling will include up to 15 homes or residential units per year. Spec homes based on payroll and work subbed cost; custom homes are based on rate per 1,000 of sales. Coverage includes U.S. manufactured modular, prefabricated and kit homes, work in progress-not completed and/or sold prior to policy period inception, blanket additional insured endorsement offered, no action over exclusion, new ventures acceptable with a statement of qualification, willing to consider flat land exposure subsidence buyback and 1,000/1,000/1,000 subcontractor insurance requirement. Minimum premiums are $20,000 for up to fivehomes or residential units per year, $25,000 for six to 15 homes or residential units per year, $25,000 for U.S. Manufactured modular, prefabricated and kit homes. Minimum deductible is $2,500. This program is offered through Bliss & Glennon Inc.’s Morgan Hill, Calif. office.

Residential repair and service contractors’ coverage will include interior condo and town home work – excluding framing, roofing, foundations, exterior walls, siding and sheathing. New ventures are acceptable with statement of qualification, no action over exclusion, blanket additional insured endorsement offered and $1,000/$1,000/$1,000 subcontractor insurance requirement. Minimum premium is $20,000. Minimum deductible is $2,500. This program is offered by all Bliss & Glennon Inc. offices.

Coverage is provided by a nonadmitted “A+” XV carrier, and offered in California only. The California custom homebuilders and spec homebuilders with remodeling program is offered through the Morgan Hill office at 800-729-3654. The residential repair and service contractors program is offered through all Bliss & Glennon Inc. offices.
