Physicians Insurance Names Olson VP, Risk Management

Physicians Insurance A Mutual Company has named Dennis Olson as vice president, risk management.

Olson has relocated from Oregon, where he was director of corporate compliance and workers’ compensation at Health Future LLC, and corporate compliance and risk officer at Enloe Health System. Prior to that, he was director of risk management at Merle West Medical Center.

“Our renowned risk management programs have served Northwest physicians for more than 20 years, and we were looking for an individual to take them to the next level,” says Mary-Lou Misrahy, President and CEO. “With Dennis Olson at the helm, we will be introducing e-learning courses and exciting new seminars to our insured physician owners.”

Olson earned his master’s degree in business education from Southern Oregon University. He began his career in medical risk management in 1981.
