June 17, 2008

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation has launched a new Western Division. After 15 years operating solely in California, the Foundation has expanded to include all areas of the Western United States. Wells Fargo Insurance Services will serve as the founder of the new Division.

“We believe the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation is a unique nonprofit organization that will bring great value to the communities served by this important expansion. The launch of the Western Division will further the national growth of the industry foundation and provide opportunities to engage new leadership from across the insurance industry,” said David Zuercher chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

“We are honored to have the support and involvement of Wells Fargo and the leadership of Mr. Zurecher” said Bill Ross, CEO of the Industry Foundation.

The Western Division will involve the following western states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation is also celebrating its 15th anniversary and recently honored Brian O’Hara, Chairman of XL Capital Ltd., at their annual dinner. David Zuercher served as the 2008 dinner chairman.

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, founded in California in 1994, seeks to help communities and enrich lives by combining the collective strengths of the industry to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership. For information, visit www.iicf.org.
