Insurance Specialty Group LLC and Home Buyers Warranty Corp. signed a five-year strategic alliance agreement for the marketing, underwriting and servicing of the Asset Protection Program (APP). Under the agreement, ISG will be a non-exclusive distribution channel for the APP.
The APP capitalizes upon the benefits of an insurance-backed structural warranty coupled with a commercial general liability policy. HBW and ISG will administer the claims coordination program between the warranty and CGL carrier. HBW will continue to sell its warranty, with or without the purchase of the CGL product, but the additional benefits gained by purchasing the APP product will be jointly promoted by HBW and ISG.
ISG is a national wholesale insurance broker that provides commercial general liability; excess and builders’ risk insurance to residential home builders.
