Der Manouel Insurance Names Gibbs, Newman Consultants

Der Manouel Insurance & Financial Services announced that Jim Gibbs and Guy Newman have joined the commercial lines unit as risk consultants.

Gibbs brings 30 years experience to the agency will work on developing middle market commercial account opportunities in construction, real estate and bonding. He began his career in 1969 as a marketing representative with Aetna Life and Casulaty. In 1973, he joined Lundberg Insurance as an independent agent. He became principal in that firm in 1974 and was primarily involved with complex commercial accounts. He specializes in construction, real estate and bonding accounts.

Newman will lead the agency’s agriculture practice and will provide sales and operational experience. He began his career in 1971 with Industrial Indemnity/Crum & Forster Insurance Co. In 1976, he became an insurance agent and broker, joining a large independent agency in California’s Central Valley. He formed his own brokerage firm in 1981, and joined Lundberg & Associates, the predecessor of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, in 1983. He was selected as president of HRH’s Central Valley operatins in 2001, and served in that capacity through 2008. When HRH was acquired by Willis, he assumed the role of managing partner, until joining Der Manouel Insurance Group in April 2009. He specializes in agribusiness, food processing manufacturing and group associations.
