Barney & Barney Adds New Principals

San Diego-based Barney & Barney LLC has announced it named Michael Bailey and Mark Doscher principals of the firm. Longtime commercial producers in the firm’s San Diego office, both have been key players in the success and growth of the firm.

Bailey joined the company’s Commercial Department in 2000 and has steadily expanded his role and responsibilities over the years. Serving in the firm’s healthcare practice group, he has extensive experience in claims, risk and loss and workers’ compensation. Prior to joining Barney & Barney, he was the workers’ compensation claims examiner for Golden Eagle Insurance Co.

Doscher, who has been with the firm since 2006, serves as the director of the Executive Risk Practice. In this role, he focuses on facilitating management liability insurance products for both public and private companies in the areas of directors and officers liability, transactional risk, employment practices liability, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial-related coverages. Prior to joining Barney & Barney, he was a senior vice president and Executive Risk Practice leader with Marsh San Diego. Previously, he spent several years as a divisional vice president for AIG in New York and Los Angeles. He is active with the Corporate Directors Forum, Biocom, San Diego Venture Group and Financial Executives International.
