Freeway Insurance Promotes Trachtman to Chief Administrative Officer

June 30, 2011

Freeway Insurance, a California provider of non-standard auto insurance and a subsidiary of New York-based Confie Seguros, announced today the promotion of Alex Trachtman to chief administrative officer from his previous position as chief financial officer. Replacing Trachtman as CFO is Robert Trebing, a senior executive with comprehensive financial management experience.

Trachtman will oversee all administrative areas at the company’s locations in Buena Park, Calif., and Tijuana, Mexico, including Quality Control, Customer Processing, Customer Service, Human Resources, IT, Purchasing, and Fraud Prevention.

For the past four years, he has been an instrumental member of the company’s executive management team, leading the Accounting and Finance Department through changes as Freeway evolved from 19 sales offices to more than 220 offices nationally. He will continue to work closely with the senior management team to ensure that they provide the necessary support and direction to continue the company’s expansion into one of the largest distributors of auto insurance nationally.

Founded in California in 1987, Freeway Insurance serves customers in Arizona, California and Texas, with related agencies in New York, New Jersey, Oregon and Washington. Freeway Insurance places more than $400 million in premiums annually. In 2008, the company’s CEO and chief operating officer partnered with private equity firm Genstar Capital to create Confie Seguros, a national provider of personal lines insurance with an emphasis on serving Hispanic consumers.
