The Doctors Co. has promoted Marco Vanderlaan to chief financial officer and chief risk officer.
Vanderlaan succeeds David Preimesberger, who assumes new roles as senior vice president for strategic planning and chief ethics officer.
Vanderlaan has held a variety of senior leadership positions with The Doctors Co. for 18 years. He was most recently in a senior vice president role he has held since 2010. He has also held executive positions in finance, reinsurance and strategic planning.
Founded and led by physicians, The Doctors Co. has a reported 82,000 members and over $4.5 billion in assets.
