Burns & Wilcox has named John Woods vice president, national practice group leader, transportation.
He will be based in Scottsdale, Ariz. Woods focuses on establishing and growing the national transportation practice group, while supporting and offering strategic direction for associates who specialize in the transportation space across the firm’s network.
For more than 25 years, Woods has led transportation-focused teams at insurance companies including Reliance, W.R. Berkley and its member companies, National Interstate and Carolina Casualty. Woods most recently was a senior director at Nationwide E&S.
