Pinnacol in Colorado Adds Golombek and Salazar to Board, Announces New Chair

Colorado workers’ comp insurer Pinnacol Assurance has added Ellen Golombek and Jesus Salazar to its board of directors, while farm and ranch representative Joseph A. Hoff will serve as board chair.

Both Golombek and Salazar were appointed by Gov. Jared Polis.

Golombek will serve as an employee representative. She is the owner of Golombek Consulting Services LLC, where she works with nonprofits, businesses and other organizations. She is also the deputy executive director of the National Association of State Workforce Agencies. She served as executive director of Colorado’s Department of Labor and Employment under Gov. John Hickenlooper. Prior to that appointment, she was executive director of the Colorado AFL-CIO.

Salazar will serve as an employer representative. Salazar is CEO of consulting firm Prosono. In addition to his Pinnacol appointment, he serves as board chair for Rocky Mountain PBS and co-board chair for Colorado Succeeds and is a trustee of the Colorado School of Mines.

Pinnacol Assurance is the state’s largest workers’ compensation insurance carrier.
