Electric Insurance appointed agents in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin who use Applied TAM now have the ability to conduct real-time auto quoting without leaving their agency management system. Real-time quoting eliminates the need to visit the Electric Insurance website to quote auto insurance policies.

After completing a standard application within their management system, agents answer a few questions unique to Electric Insurance and send their quote request with the click of a button. The quoted premiums are then returned directly to the agent’s management system for viewing. Adjustments or messages are also presented. Agents may bind the policy immediately by clicking a link that takes them back to Electric Insurance’s website to complete the transaction.

This enhancement eliminates the redundancy of double data entry for an agent. “Electric Insurance has listened to my needs by launching real-time quoting. Within a few minutes I have a premium without the hassle of leaving my management system. It definitely makes my job easier and allows me to offer better service to our customers.” Said Jessie Newton of H. J. Spier Agency in IN.

“We strive to be easy to do business with and our new real-time quoting feature facilitates that goal”, said Tena Melfi, VP of Marketing and New Business Development. “Our agents have indicated real-time quoting to be an important product enhancement. We are pleased to offer them this service”, she said. Electric Insurance will be rolling real-time auto quoting out to agents on a state-by-state basis over the next few months.
