Insurance Association to Hold 45th Annual Convention and South Florida’s Largest Insurance Trade Fair

The convention will run from August 5-9 at the Diplomat Resort & Spa Hollywood with the Trade Fair on Friday, August 8^th.

Miami, FL, June 21 2015—Over 1,000 insurance agency owners, brokers, agents, customer service representatives and administrators from across Florida will gather at the Diplomat Resort & Spa for the industry’s preeminent convention. The 45^th LAAIA Annual Insurance Convention includes educational classes, networking events and South Florida’s largest insurance trade fair.

The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies (LAAIA) was founded as a voice for independent insurance agents. Today, LAAIA members represent hundreds of agency & company partners from all facets of the insurance industry, working together to ensure a healthy insurance environment through education, communication & community involvement.

Among the highlights at this convention will be:

A review of laws and regulations passed during this year’s state legislative sessions and a look at upcoming issues impacting the industry, presented by a panel of members of the Florida Legislature
Courses include cyber liability, flood insurance and “Back To Basics Boot Camp” staff training
South Florida’s largest insurance exposition with over 100 exhibitors offering a wide range of services to help agents and agencies better serve their clients
Keynote address by Drew Dickinson, CPCU, Regional Vice President, Independent Channel at Nationwide Insurance
The installation of the LAAIA 2015-2016 Board of Directors under the leadership of incoming President Jorge Peña, CPIA, PIAM, Managing Director of ASI Florida
Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Live Like Bella Foundation
