San Diego, CA, May 3, 2016 – Atlas General Insurance Services, a national multi-line program administrator, is pleased to announce that Ryan S. Kirby has been hired as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel.
Kirby is an experienced attorney, skilled in a wide variety of areas. His insurance practice includes work in product and market development, transactional matters (including acquisition, merger and investment), advertising, commerce, agent and broker relations, as well as consumer issues. With extensive experience in multiple leadership roles, Mr. Kirby’s expertise in contract negotiation, litigation, and labor and employment will provide Atlas with a bridge between law and operations.
Selected as a Super Lawyers rising star in 2016, Kirby has been recognized for his quick intellect and ability to provide efficient solutions to complex issues. He has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies inside and outside of the industry, often from both perspectives. From insurers to insureds, employers to employees, Kirby enables Atlas to better evaluate effective legal strategies as its business continues to grow nationally.
Prior to law school, Kirby worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., first as a legislative correspondent with the Honorable Karen McCarthy, then as a legislative aide for the Honorable Diana DeGette.
Kirby received his B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder (2000), and his J.D. from the University of San Diego (2007).
