Since 2022, CIWA has experienced remarkable expansion in various areas, solidifying its position as a must-have resource for facilitating business relationships for insurance wholesalers and carriers. The organization’s commitment to fostering community, education, and professional development has resulted in impressive milestones that reflect its dynamic influence.

Key highlights of CIWA’s growth:

  1. Event Attendance Surges
    CIWA’s popular in-person events have seen a substantial increase, with attendance soaring by over 20% since 2022. This remarkable growth underscores the association’s ability to create engaging and valuable experiences for industry professionals.
  2. Committee Participation Booms
    CIWA’s committees play a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission. Since 2022, committee participation has grown by over 30%, showcasing a heightened interest in contributing to the industry’s future.

CIWA boasts six active committees:

  • CIWA Legislative Committee: Perpetuating the advocacy of California wholesale insurance professionals through legislative efforts.
  • CIWA Education Committee: Ensuring relevant topics and speakers for annual conferences and expanding educational offerings and value for all members.
  • CIWA Membership Committee: Advocating for membership and promoting the growth of the association.
  • CIWA Communications Committee: Keeping members informed about CIWA’s mission, vision, and goals, as well as industry happenings.
  • CIWA Future: Connecting insurance professionals under 40, providing a regional forum for young insurance professionals, and fostering communication within the industry. CIWA Future is also the sponsor of the mentor program, which is taking more shape.
  • CIWA Events Committee: Planning and executing educational and enjoyable events that facilitate growth and networking within the CIWA community.

CIWA recently concluded its 2024 Annual Meeting and will retain the Renaissance Esmerelda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells as the venue for 2025 and 2026 – offering a stable and conducive environment for members to connect and collaborate.
