I suggest you read the sections titled “Insurance Impact”, “Policyholder Considerations” and “Industry Response” – the answers you seek are in there.

There’s still a healthy dose of skepticism of the virus as a serious threat.

I would love to know who is skeptical about this threat. While it’s not (yet) a global health emergency, it’s certainly a “moderate” threat (moderate being the WHO term being used right now) and there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight right now.

Dow Jones agrees with you this morning. There are some people trying to compare it relatively with the common cold, cancer, etc I’d say if I was a US citizen I’d be happy that the Federal Gov’t is preparing to ask Congress for more coronavirus prep money money and very concerned that there are currently only 4 labs in the US that can test for it.

I spent over $2k on therapy due to my OCD / extreme germaphobia (and them not accepting insurance). Seems to have paid off a little, at least that’s what I tell myself. At any rate, I’m not letting myself get overly concerned about this (YET!). The fact is that the flu is much deadlier. I hoping that they’ll find a vaccine or treatment for this soon enough.

The WHO has not raised the risk to “very high”. Is our dumba$$ president still making light of it?

Are you suggesting taking money for the Border Wall to pay for COVID-19? Doesn’t sound like you.

Ronald Reagan was for them. Other than that, I don’t know anyone in recent history who has advocated or is campaigning for actual open borders. Seems to be another misleading conservative talking point.

Are you kidding? Ronald Reagan was not for open borders. He gave into an amnesty program…promising that subsequently the borders would be closed b/c that is what Congress promised. Did you watch every one of the Democratic debates? All stated they were not only for open borders but for offering free healthcare to illegal immigrants. If I am incorrect, please show what their specific plan is to close the borders. Do not think you will have concrete info versus opinion. But always hope to learn something if the proof is rational. Not a newscaster or pundit…b/c I trust none as a resource for fact.
