I just finished a 4 hour CE class on Fiduciary Liability this weekend. I learned about interest bearing trust accounts and money markets. A lot about new laws and regulations. I learned about agency solvency and mismanagement of premium funds. It also talks about managing commissions and audits. It really helped me understand my agency management system a lot better because now I can catch items that would cause my policies to go insolvent. I am also noticing many errors that can be prevented. I feel so much smarter! But more importantly aware of how these transactions work as a retailer and how carriers operate as well. It will help your agency management skills and give you a clear perception of money management. The first I have taken online (which is really cool) and unlike some classes this was actually a lot of fun.
