PEO in California
Has anyone come up against Barrett Business Services, a "human resource management company" (per their website) as competition for WC in California? They have several offices in Western states and a few back East. I have a large contractor with a 1.55 x-mod presently insured with the State Compensation Insurance Fund and Barrett is alleged to have indicated that they are self-insured and can offer WC to my client for half the cost of State Fund. Other than the obvious fact that this is a PEO, any comments about service or other issues known? Good or bad...would just like some feedback.
