On November 30, 2007, David H. Colburn, J.D. and Robert S. Colburn announced the opening of their new independent insurance agency in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. The new agency is designed to handle businesses and individuals with complex and intricate needs.
With the opening of ColburnColburn, the two brothers are carrying on the family’s legacy of industry leadership, established by their late father Sherwood Colburn who was appointed insurance commissioner for the state of Michigan in 1961.
ColburnColburn will handle products and services including commercial property and casualty insurance, mergers and acquisitions, private client, family office and personal insurance, risk management services, individual life, disability and long term care insurance and benefits via a strategic partnership.
The collective experience of the partners over 25 years has encompassed an international client base serving 40 states, 12 countries and four continents. ”
ColburnColburn has recently been appointed to partner with The Cincinnati Insurance Cos., along with other providers including AIG, AIG Private Client, Amerisure, Chubb, Citizens, CNA, Progressive, Fireman’s Fund, Hartford, Indiana and Travelers.
