Universal Insurance Holdings Inc. subsidiary, Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Co. (UPCIC), has written its first homeowners insurance policy in Michigan, the company announced.
The initial policy was written after Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services approved UPCIC’s homeowners insurance rates and forms.
UPCIC writes homeowners insurance nationally and is licensed to offer homeowners insurance products in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
