Borisoff Joins Countrywide Insurance as President of Commercial Lines

July 14, 2005

Countrywide Insurance Group has announced that Brett Borisoff has joined the organization as president of Countrywide Insurance Services Inc.’s commercial insurance division. Borisoff will run the commercial division of the full service insurance agency/brokerage and lead the effort to expand its operations by opening branches in key cities across the nation.

Borisoff brings nearly three decades of commercial insurance experience to Countrywide Insurance Services, holding senior management positions in southern California’s largest national agency/brokerages. For the past 20 years, he has concentrated on residential construction with a focus on building proprietary programs for homebuilders and land developers. Early on as a producer and later as a senior executive running insurance brokerage operations, he has consistently ranked as either the largest or one of the largest producers in the agency/brokerages he has served.

“Most business owners feel they pay too much for their commercial insurance policies and are equally concerned as to whether they are properly covered,” said Dave Kuhn, president of the commercial lines division for Countrywide Insurance Group. “Brett’s extensive experience in creating and servicing proprietary programs for homebuilders and land developers makes him the ideal individual to lead Countrywide Insurance Services’ efforts to address these concerns.”

“Countrywide Insurance Services’ aggressive sales-focused, service-oriented approach and its parent company’s array of financial services are a powerful combination,” Borisoff said. “The opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment and create a new area of an organization that understands the needs of potential customers and has strong business partner relationships offers an enormous potential for growth.”

Prior to joining Countrywide Insurance Services, Borisoff served as president of Armstrong/Robitaille, one of the largest regional general agencies in California and a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Bank of California. There he led the agency to a three-year period of unprecedented growth, with the highly-profitable residential and commercial construction business playing a major role in this success.
