The Main Street America Group has named Bonny Parker as vice president for personal lines. She will be based at corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla., and report to Bill Anderson, senior vice president, insurance operations.
Parker joins Main Street America from Nationwide Insurance, Columbus, Ohio, where she was vice president for personal lines auto insurance. In this role, Parker was responsible for a $6.3 billion personal auto portfolio and achieved a combined ratio below 90. She joined Nationwide in 2000 as an underwriting officer, specialty lines auto, and was appointed to head its personal lines auto product in 2003.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Parker held the roles of vice president, product management, and vice president, policy operations, at GMAC Insurance, Winston-Salem, N.C. Her industry experience also includes a management role at Progressive Insurance, Sacramento, Calif.
The Main Street America Group operates four property and casualty insurance carriers: NGM Insurance Company, Old Dominion Insurance Company, Main Street America Assurance Company and MSA Insurance Company.
