Lockton, Visiting Nurses Association Launch Professional Liability Program

March 18, 2014

The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) and specialty broker Lockton Affinity have launched a new insurance program to protect nurses and Visiting Nurse Association member agencies. VNAA is sponsoring the professional liability insurance program to provide enhanced protection for the growing ranks of home health, hospice, and palliative care nurses in the U.S.

The VNAA professional liability insurance provides coverage for registered nurses, nurse practitioners and students with the lowest available premiums in the market. Home health, hospice and other visiting nurse professionals can apply for the insurance coverage online.

Member agencies of VNAA can access a specialized package of business insurance, including professional liability, workers’ compensation, business owner’s policy and directors and officers liability.

VNAA is a national health industry association that supports, promotes and advocates for nonprofit home health, hospice and palliative care and health promotion services to ensure quality care within their communities. The Association represents nonprofit home healthcare and hospice agencies from all regions of the country in over 40 states with a membership base of more than 160 agencies. Member agencies include traditional independent, free-standing visiting nurse services and agencies, home health and hospices that are affiliated with or owned by integrated health care systems, and small free-standing hospices.

The VNAA program is administrated by Lockton Affinity, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lockton.
