American International Group’s excess & surplus subsidiary Lexington Insurance has set up a dedicated financial institutions practice to support wholesale produced private company banks, asset managers, broker dealers, and others.
Kevin Ware has been hired as head of financial institutions, LexPro.
Ware has spent his career in the financial institutions sector, most recently as vice president at CRC Group, where he handled financial lines and specialized in financial institutions.
The new practice is designed to help brokers and clients navigate that shift with specialized expertise, flexible underwriting, and tailored solutions.
“Financial institutions are operating in a period of significant market transformation, as emerging technologies, AI infrastructure investment, data, and new sources of capital reshape how businesses grow and manage risk,” said Ware. “That pace of change is creating demand for specialized underwriting expertise, responsive decision-making, and insurance solutions that can adapt to evolving client needs.”
