Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced that its subsidiary, Risk Placement Services Inc., acquired Leicht General Agency, headquartered in Houston. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1992, Leicht General Agency is a wholesale insurance broker and managing general agent. They provide excess and surplus property/casualty coverage, including professional and general liability and other specialty insurance products and services for their retail insurance agent clients throughout Texas.
Beth Leicht, Marshall Leicht and their associates will continue to operate out of their current location under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services Inc.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an international insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, is headquartered in Itasca, Ill., has operations in 13 countries and does business in more than 100 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
