Texas Insurance Commissioner David Mattax has appointed three members to serve on the board of directors of the Texas Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. The board oversees the association, which helps to protect Texans if a life, accident or health insurer fails.
New board members are:
- Thomas Munson of Brownwood is president and CEO of Landmark Life Insurance Company. He serves on the Louisiana Life Health and Accident Insurance Guaranty Association board of directors and the Forum 500 of the American Council of Life Insurers and is a member of the Texas Bar Association.
- Robin Vincent of League City oversees benefit programs for Harris County employees. She is a member of the State and Local Government Benefit Administrators.
The commissioner also reappointed James Harrison of Arlington to the board of directors.
The terms of the three appointments expire on Sept. 30, 2021.
