ECC Insurance Brokers LLC of Oak Brook, Ill. has been acquired by Brown & Brown Inc. with headquarters Daytona Beach and Tampa, Fla.
ECC has combined annualized revenues of approximately $3.9 million. This wholesale insurance broker provides a group of Independent Midwestern insurance agents with products for its specialty and unique hard-to-place risks. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.
Daniel S. Real, ECC managing member, will continue to run this new stand-alone wholesale operation, which will continue to operate under the name ECC Insurance Brokers from its current location.
Brown & Brown and its subsidiaries offer a range of insurance and reinsurance products and services, as well as risk management, employee benefit administration, and managed health care programs.
