Brown & Brown Acquires Emerald Benefits Inc.

Brown & Brown Inc., with headquarters in Daytona Beach, Fla. has announced the acquisition of retail insurance agency Emerald Benefits Inc. of Weston, Fla.

Emerald Benefits, with annualized revenues of approximately $3.8 million, is a specializes in employee benefits needs of companies and individuals throughout South Florida. The agency will be a new freestanding Brown & Brown profit center, with Salvatore Capano, vice president of Emerald Benefits as profit center manager.
