Florida Sinkhole Policy Changes to Highlight Citizens’ Forum

July 26, 2007

Changes in sinkhole coverage made during Florida’s regular and special legislative sessions affect residents in Pasco and Hernando counties. Citizens policyholders in those counties will automatically be provided coverage for catastrophic ground cover collapse, but will have to select optional sinkhole coverage.

Citizens Property Insurance Corp. will co-host an educational forum with Sen. Mike Fasano and Rep. Rob Schenck on July 30 from 4-7 p.m.in Spring Hill, Fla., to discuss the recent legislative changes.

Citizens staff members will give a brief review of the policy changes and will also be available to help individual policyholders who have questions about their coverage, said Citizens President Scott Wallace.

The Palace Grand is located at 275 Della Court in Spring Hill, Fla.
