New Insurance Training Academy Fills ‘On-the-Job’ Learning Needs

San Diego, Calif.-based Insurance Training Academy (ITA) officially opened its doors in January 2001, to provide industry-specific educational training as a service to busy insurance agencies and companies needing skilled insurance employees, as well as to job seekers wanting to be pre-trained and job ready.

ITA states that it provides a variety of structured industry-specific courses, which are highly interactive, comprehensive in scope, and presented by industry professionals and consultants.

Courses include Customer Service Representative training in commercial and personal insurance lines; Commercial Property & Casualty Rating; Business Writing for Insurance; Industry-Specific Computer Systems; Insurance Terminology/Careers in Insurance; Negotiation Skills; Professional Business Etiquette, and Pre-Licensing for Property/Casualty and Life Insurance. Course length varies from two hours to 14 weeks with students receiving certificates of completion.
