SCF of Arizona, the state’s largest supplier of workers’ compensation insurance, has named a chief operating officer, a new vice president of human resources and a director of investments.
President and CEO Donald A. Smith Jr. announced promotions of Duane T. Miller to executive vice president and COO and Anna Rodriguez to director, investments. He also named DeeAnn Palin as vice president, human resources and organization development.
Miller, a CPA, has been with SCF since 2000 as CFO. Previously, he spent 20 years working in finance, insurance and management at companies such as American Founders Life Insurance Co., Johnson & Higgins/Kirke-Van Orsdel Inc., Sun America and All State Insurance Co.
Palin joins SCF after working in Houston as regional human resources manager for Target Corp.
Rodriguez, who will manage SCF’s investment portfolio, joined the company in 1999. In 2002, she formed the Investment Team. She previously worked for AirEvac Services, Samaritan Health Service (Now Banner Healthcare) and Ernst & Young.
