Moody Insurance Appoints President to Head Denver Operations

November 1, 2005

Moody Insurance Agency has promoted Brad Moody to president of the agency’s Denver operations. Evan Moody, founder of the company, will remain with the agency in a full-time capacity as CEO, overseeing both the Denver and Grand Junction offices.

Brad joined Moody Insurance 14 years ago and has been preparing for his new position for a decade under his father’s guidance. In his new role, Brad will remain active in the sales function, continuing to manage his current clients, as well as handling strategic planning and management of the agency, which includes 55 employees in Denver.

“We’ve been in business for 33 years, and I look forward to another 30 years working with our terrific client base and employees,” Brad said. “At a time when many companies are selling out or merging, we plan to remain independent, and we look forward to continuing the consistent growth we’ve experienced over the past three decades.”

Evan, who founded Moody Insurance in 1972, will continue working as an insurance producer, managing his current book of clients, and mentoring new producers coming up through the agency.

“I feel very comfortable turning the reins over to Brad in order for him to direct this growing organization to the next level,” Evan said. “In my opinion, he possesses the necessary industry knowledge, charisma, leadership qualities and work ethic to be extremely successful in this new executive position.”

Brad added, “It is the perfect time for this transition, and I am so appreciative that Evan will still be available to me and my staff as a sounding board as we move Moody Insurance to its next stage.”

Founded in 1972, Moody Insurance Agency says it is Colorado’s third-largest private insurance agency. The company employs 75 professionals, manages more than $80 million in premium sales and represents more than 30 major insurance companies for clients annually, with services based in Denver and Grand Junction, Colo.
