Networked Insurance Agents Unveils New Online Multi-Carrier Business Owners Policy Rating System

April 3, 2006

Networked Insurance Agents, Grass Valley, Calif., has launched an online multi-carrier rating system, NLink CL, for small commercial lines. The quoting tool is available to Networked’s 1,000-plus affiliates and will initially provide on-line multi-carrier business owners policy (BOP) quotes, with commercial auto and workers’ compensation to follow.

The availability of NLink CL comes shortly after the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) released a policy statement on real-time multiple company rating functionality, stating that “… it is critical for the industry to accelerate current efforts to implement real-time multiple company rating,” according to Networked. The IIABA statement cites improved workflow as among the most important benefits to independent agents and brokers since this type of functionality frees-up time to sell new policies and improve customer service, the company said.
