E.L.M Insurance Brokers Inc. announced that it has completed the first phase of its data flow initiative, the first step of creating a central clearinghouse of information relevant to professional liability, employment practice, and directors and officers insurance applications and quotes. ”
According to President and CEO, Frederick Fisher, an insurance company will have electronic producer-driven application data, in whatever format it requires, ready for conforming to the company’s data needs and quoting. “This process will eventually end the need for expensive and time consuming data entry by brokers and/or underwriters,” he said.
The first phase included the conversion of approximately 900 insurance applications and supplements from more than 80 different markets into electronic, interactive PDF forms.
