Wendy Humphrey, vice president of the Honolulu Association of Insurance Professionals (HAIP) and regional production specialist for Western Risk Specialists Inc., recently won the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) Region VIII CWC – Communication Speak-Off Competition during the Annual Conference in Salt Lake City.
CWC is a program that allows participants to enhance communication skills by preparing and delivering oral presentations.
Humphrey won the regional level competition by presenting a three-minute prepared speech and completing a one-minute impromptu speech. She will go on to compete on the national level with the winners representing the other eight regions of NAIW (International).
The International CWC Speak-Off will be held during the National Convention in May, in New Orleans.
The Honolulu Association of Insurance Professionals is the local chapter of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW).
