Buena Park, Calif.-based Freeway Insurance has promoted Norm Hudson to chief operating officer.
Hudson ascends to the post from his former position as president of Freeway California North.
Prior to joining Freeway Insurance in 2010, Hudson served as president of Cost-U-Less Insurance, where he began his career in 1997 and rose to become president in 2006.
Freeway Insurance, a subsidiary of New York-based Confie Seguros, and its related companies have nearly 300 locations in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Washington and Oregon. Freeway Insurance writes over $400 million in premiums annually. In 2008, Freeway Insurance partnered with private equity firm Genstar Capital to create Confie Seguros, a national provider of personal lines insurance with an emphasis on serving Hispanic consumers.
