Police are looking for a suspect who knifed and robbed of an Uber driver in downtown Las Vegas.
Authorities say the attack happened Friday around 2:15 a.m. near the Golden Nugget hotel. According to police, the driver picked up a passenger who displayed both a firearm and a knife.
Lt. CJ Jenkins says the suspect then slashed the victim in the stomach and took his wallet.
The driver was hospitalized but his injuries were not life-threatening.
Uber spokeswoman Taylor Patterson told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the driver was not logged into Uber at the time of the attack.
The suspect had not requested a ride through the Uber app. Under state law, Uber drivers must be logged on to operate.
